Why Bad Things Happen to Good People Like everyone I used to struggle with the question, "why do bad things happen to good people?" It is difficult to make sense of a world where horribly tragic things happen to decent people. Many people question, "why is God allowing this to happen to me? Doesn't he love me?" It is quite logical to ask those questions when you hear about things like tsunamis killing hundreds of thousands of people or when a young child is diagnosed with terminal cancer. I have come to fully understand why bad things happen to good people First of all, it is important to understand that the Universe does not view events as being good or being bad. They are neutral. It is us and society that judges an event to be good or bad.
